Cara Delevingne x Mulberry SS14

The beautiful Brit, Cara Delevingne is undeniably one of the world's top models at the moment, and has been for a while now. She's always in the limelight for something or other; dropping something suspiciously coke-like on her doorstep, modelling in pretty much every fashion show ever, insert 103480235 other reasons here...And one can't help but envy her beauty, quirky character and rocketing career, so what could possibly make us even more jealous?

Oh yeah, she has designed her own collection with Mulberry...!

Launched on the 16th February 2014, during London Fashion Week, the collection features six different bags with a neutral vibe. There's two camo bags (it's coming back in, I tell you), one dark taupe with studs and some splashes of colour with green and lilac - colours that are practical and wearable yet stand out as being one of these exclusive pieces.

"The Mulberry Cara Delevingne Bag is a three-in-one style, uniting Mulberry’s English attitude to functional beauty and Cara’s inimitable personality – a bag that can take you anywhere."

Each bag is designed to be worn in numerous ways - over the shoulder, in hand, or as possibly the cutest backpack you've ever seen...my favourite is definitely the lilac quilted bag above. What do you think of the collection?

The Brit Awards 2014

So I watched the BAFTAs, loved all the London Fashion Week snaps, admired some of the Elle Style Awards outfits and now...the Brit Awards.

Something that begins with The Arctic Monkeys, includes appearances from Prince and Pharrell Williams, and gives us simple folk a gander at some designer clothing (some straight off the LFW AW14 runway - ahem, yeah Lily Allen in House of Holland <3) can't be bad!
My favourite outfit of the whole night has to be Aluna Francis, of AlunaGeorge, wearing all white with sheer mesh details and chunky white heels whilst performing White Noise on stage with Disclosure. But alas, I cannot find a photo anywhere in the depths of the internet (yet).

So here are my favourites from the red carpet...

In my opinion, Aluna Francis nailed it twice at the Brit Awards 2014...it's been around for seasons and if worn wrong can look absolutely horrendous, but a little bit of sheer makes this raspberry coloured outfit. I love the bright, triangle bra obscured by the shirt. Aluna looks effortlessly beautiful.

Fearne Cotton opted for a metallic A-line dress with matching clutch and shoes. Whilst it's something I would probably never wear myself (a little bit too 'prom') I think she looked amazing, keeping it very minimalistic with regards to jewellery and accessories.
Hannah Reid, the singer from London Grammar, also looked totally sophisticated in this amazing black, sequined Elie Saab floor-length dress.

Another '#allwhiteeverything' moment for fashion on the red carpet (it's been happening a lot recently...) with Pixie Lott. Love the silvery pointed pumps and the splashes of gold with this elegant, understated dress.

What do you think? Who wore your favourite ensemble at the Brits 2014?

LFW: Henry Holland AW14

My favourite show from LFW so far 100% has to be Henry Holland...inspired by a concept of "debauched debutantes" there are so many looks here that I think (and hope) will be transposed to the streets...! I love the dark luxuriousness of the collection added to so many sparks of recognisable inspiration.
An absolute feast for the eyes.

Liquorice Loves: Week Round-Up

I don't know about you but I'm feeling super inspired this week...and just in time for London Fashion Week!
I've done a little round up of my favourite posts and pictures, mostly pretty things I've found on Twitter (you can follow me @franwriight;-)) and they aren't all LFW related...I apologise (?) for an unusually verbose post! Enjoy!

Emma Watson has guest edited the February copy of Wonderland magazine, a magazine I stumbled upon many moons ago in a big WHSmith store. Knowing nothing about it I poured over the pages for years and used some of my favourite fashion images for collages when I was doing GCSE Art...! Fond memories...and aren't her portraits just perfect?

The Henry Holland AW14 show at London Fashion Week this February has actually blown me away...forget sports luxe, this is LUXE luxe. Inspired by "debauched debutantes" (I'm so honoured!) this is a must see. I've queued a post about this show already...keep checking back for more.

Jamie Campbell Bower is as talented as he is beautiful (can someone please tell me something he's not good at so I can feel a bit less like an inferior human being?) Shot by Rankin he stars on the cover of Issue 6 of Hunger magazine...and I need to get my hands on a copy! You can see his November 2013 interview on the Hungertv blog: here, and yeah he gets his bum out.

Central St. Martins graduate Richard Nicoll presented beautiful, golden, jacquard pieces at his Nicoll Studio LFW show.

"Stressed...But Well Dressed" I think sums up a pretty substantial amount of fashion lovers (maybe all of them?) this week...and I spotted this beautiful oversized, soft, white clutch bag (so on trend) in Zara today! For £19.99 you can't go wrong: in the U.K shop here.

Burberry are teasing me with tantalising glimpses of AW14 items on Twitter...their LFW show is at 14.30 tomorrow (Monday 17th February) and how I wish I was going. </3

The Central St. Martins AW14 MA show produced some pretty futuristic fashion, and I think I love it: check out more photos on the i-D website here. I wonder who we will be seeing more from in the future...?

I don't know how they do it but Proenza Schouler always know what I want before I even know I want it...the photo above is just look 1 from the AW14 LFW show but you can view all the looks on their website Proenza Schouler.

And last, but not least, press play and enjoy Vampire Weekend's 'Diane Young'...not a new track but one I am re-loving this week:
